The bands, the stages, the noise — from the beginning.

Partners In Health

~2011–2023 · London, Ontario

The first frontman role. What started as solo acoustic sets at open mics and local bills grew into a full band when other musicians wanted in. After plenty of early lineup changes, PIH settled into the same core group for nearly a decade — playing gigs across Southwestern Ontario through London, Chatham, St. Thomas, and beyond. The band is currently on hiatus.

The Spyes expanded. Family joined the band — cousin Mike on keys and brother Andrew on guitar — and the name changed to Shoegazer. Shows at Call The Office, APK, and The Embassy. Various lineups, never too serious, but plenty of gigs.

Post-Capgun. Half originals, half covers at The Wick on weekends, with shows at The Embassy, Call The Office, and once at Covent Garden Market at 6 AM for a local TV spot. The Spyes would eventually evolve into Shoegazer.

Capgun

~1996–1997 · Dorchester, Ontario

Where it all started. Two high school bands merged into Capgun — basement recordings on a rented 4-track, borrowed gear, and the first real songs. When the drummer quit, Chris taught himself drums and bought a Pearl kit that's been on 95% of everything he's recorded since.

  • Jason Cahill — Vocals, Bass, Guitar
  • Chris Neiles — Vocals, Bass, Guitar
  • Sean Conaghan — Drums
